Short answer: your saber ships within 14–21 business days of ordering, then takes a further 7–10 days to reach you. Shipping within the US is free. Returns are free for 30 days and we pay the return postage.
That is the whole promise. Below is why the build window is what it is, what happens at each stage, and exactly what your options are if something is wrong.
The timeline, stage by stage
| Stage | How long | What is happening |
|---|---|---|
| Build | 14–21 business days | Your hilt is assembled to the configuration you chose, wired, and tested |
| Transit | 7–10 days | In the hands of the carrier, US or international |
| Total | 21–31 business days | Order placed to saber in your hands |
Business days means Monday to Friday. Three to four weeks of build time is not a delay and it is not a queue problem — it is the build.
Why does it take three weeks to build?
Because we do not hold finished sabers on a shelf.
Every saber we sell is offered in multiple configurations. The same hilt can be built with an S-RGB board, an SNV4 pixel board or a Proffie pixel board, and with a 26, 32 or 36 inch blade. Across the range that is over a thousand distinct combinations. Nobody stocks a thousand finished sabers.
So when you order, your specific configuration gets built: the board goes in, the chassis is assembled, the electronics are tested, and the saber is checked before it is boxed. That is where the two to three weeks goes.
The alternative model is to hold a small number of pre-built configurations and ship them in a few days. Some sellers do exactly that, and if speed is your single priority they are a reasonable choice. The trade is that you take what is on the shelf rather than what you actually wanted.
We would rather quote you 14–21 business days and hit it than quote you three days and miss.
What does shipping cost?
- United States — free. No minimum order, no threshold.
- International — a flat $50 USD, calculated at checkout.
International customers should be aware that import duties and local taxes are separate from shipping and are set by your own country, not by us. We cannot calculate or absorb those.
Can I track it?
Yes. You get tracking as soon as the saber leaves us, which is the point the 7–10 day transit window starts. You will not have tracking during the build window, because there is nothing in transit yet.
This is the single most common thing people write in about, so to be clear: silence during the first three weeks is normal and expected. It does not mean anything has gone wrong.
Returns: the 30 day window
Returns are free for 30 days. If it is not right, you will not pay to send it back to us.
How it works:
- Email us within 30 days of delivery.
- We send you a return authorisation, a prepaid return label, and instructions.
- You send it back unused and undamaged, in its original packaging.
- We refund you.
The saber needs to come back in the condition it arrived in. Unused means unused — if it has been swung in a duel, it is not a return, it is a used saber.
What about custom orders?
Choosing a soundboard or a blade length at checkout is a standard configuration option, not a custom order. Those are returnable like anything else.
Personalised items made to your own specification — custom engraving, for example — cannot be returned unless they are faulty.
If it arrives damaged
Tell us within 7 days of delivery and send photographs. Transit damage is our problem to solve, not yours, and we will sort it.
The 7 day window exists so we can raise a claim with the carrier while the claim is still live. After that the carrier will not entertain it, and we lose the ability to act on your behalf.
The one-year warranty
Every saber carries a one-year warranty against manufacturing defects. Board failures, wiring faults, a switch that stops working — that is what the warranty is for, and we will repair or replace it.
Two things it does not cover, stated plainly:
- Damage from use. Blades scuff and hilts mark. A saber that has been dueled looks like a saber that has been dueled. That is not a defect.
- Return freight on warranty claims. Outside the 30 day return window, the cost of shipping the saber back to us for warranty work is yours. We cover the repair and the return leg to you; you cover getting it to us.
We would rather write that down than have you discover it in month eight.
Quick answers
Is 14–21 business days the same as 14–21 days?
No. Business days exclude weekends. 21 business days is roughly four calendar weeks.
Do international orders take longer to build?
No. The build window is identical. The transit window is also 7–10 days internationally. The difference is the $50 flat shipping charge and any duties your country applies.
Can I cancel after ordering?
Contact us as soon as possible. Once a saber has entered the build we cannot un-build it, but we will always tell you honestly where yours is rather than take your money and go quiet.
Can I change my configuration after ordering?
Same answer, ask early. Before the build starts it is usually straightforward. After it starts it is not.
Do you charge a restocking fee?
No.
Does blade length change the delivery time?
No. All three lengths are built to the same schedule and cost the same.
Is shipping free on every order?
Within the US, yes, with no minimum. International is a flat $50 regardless of order size.
Where to start
If you are still choosing, the two decisions that matter most are which board and which blade length. We have written both up:
- Proffie vs SNV4 vs S-RGB — which soundboard do you actually need
- 26, 32 or 36 inch — which blade length should you order
If you want the short version: the A01 is our entry point at $100 baselit or $175 in pixel, and the Starbreaker (Black) at $359 is the one we recommend most often. Everything with a full-length pixel blade sits on our Neopixel Sabers page, and everything in the most resilient configuration sits on Duel-Ready Sabers.
