Design Inspiration

This hilt draws directly from the saber he carries when he arrives to take a young foundling into his care. The classic silhouette of the original trilogy design remains intact — the emitter, grip rings, and iconic shape — but time has left its mark.

The weathered finish pays homage to decades of wandering:

Choosing Your Configuration

Blade diameter comes first on this one. The Redeemer Weathered takes either a 1” or a 7/8” blade. A 1” blade has a thicker wall and throws more light. A 7/8” blade is lighter and faster in the hand. The two are not interchangeable between hilts, so if you already own blades, order to match what you have.

S-RGB — One high-output LED seated in the hilt, lighting a diffused blade. Bright, brutally durable, and the choice for anyone who intends to duel hard and often. Smooth swing is included. A weathered saber is bought to be carried and used, and this is the configuration that takes the most punishment.

SNV4 Pixel — An LED strip running the full length of the blade. Ignition and retraction travel up and down the blade, and flash-on-clash fires at the exact point of impact. It needs no setup on your part, and it is where most collectors land.

Proffie Pixel — The same pixel blade, driven by a fully programmable board. Custom sound fonts, custom blade styles, gesture controls, and configuration files you can rewrite yourself. Choose Proffie if you want to tinker. Choose SNV4 if you want it perfect out of the box.

Blade length — 32” is the standard adult dueling length and the safe default. 26” suits shorter wielders, tight choreography and indoor sparring. 36” is reach and display presence.

One thing worth knowing before you order: the weathering is a hand-applied finish on real machined aluminum, not a wrap or a print. No two hilts leave us looking exactly alike, and use tends to deepen the character rather than strip it. At about a pound and 11.25 inches the balance is neutral and unfussy — this is a saber for people who intend to carry it, not shelve it. Green is the default blade colour.

Common Questions

Is this saber suitable for real dueling?

Yes. The hilt is machined aluminium and the blade is combat-grade polycarbonate rated for full contact. For heavy, frequent dueling the S-RGB configuration is the most resilient; pixel blades are also duel-ready but carry more electronics inside the blade.

Will my hilt look exactly like the photos?

Close, but not identical. The ageing is applied by hand to each hilt, so the darkened edges and worn grip areas vary between units. That variation is the point of a weathered finish.

Does the weathering rub off over time?

No. It is a finishing process on the aluminum alloy itself rather than a coating or a wrap, so handling deepens the character rather than removing it.

Should I order the 1” or the 7/8” blade?

1” is thicker-walled and brighter. 7/8” is lighter and faster. They are not interchangeable between hilts, so if you already own blades, order to match.

How long does it take to arrive?
