Design Inspiration

Unlike the refined “cave scene” hero saber, the stunt version was designed for one purpose: action.
It featured a simplified emitter, a stripped-down body, and a lightweight, practical profile used during most of the production’s combat sequences.

Choosing Your Configuration

Blade diameter comes first on this one. The Stunt Sun takes either a 1” or a 7/8” blade. A 1” blade has a thicker wall and throws more light. A 7/8” blade is lighter and faster in the hand — and on a hilt built for choreography, that difference is felt. The two are not interchangeable between hilts, so if you already own blades, order to match.

S-RGB — One high-output LED seated in the hilt, lighting a diffused blade. Bright, brutally durable, and the choice for anyone who intends to duel hard and often. Smooth swing is included. This is a stunt saber by design, and S-RGB is the configuration that behaves like one.

SNV4 Pixel — An LED strip running the full length of the blade. Ignition and retraction travel up and down the blade, and flash-on-clash fires at the exact point of impact. No setup is needed on your part, and it is where most collectors land.

Proffie Pixel — The same pixel blade, driven by a fully programmable board. Custom sound fonts, custom blade styles, gesture controls, and configuration files you can rewrite yourself. Choose Proffie if you want to tinker. Choose SNV4 if you want it perfect out of the box.

Blade length — 32” is the standard adult dueling length and the safe default. 26” suits shorter wielders, tight choreography and indoor sparring. 36” is reach and display presence.

This hilt is stripped down for a reason. At roughly a pound and 11.25 inches with a smooth, unbroken silver body, it is one of the easiest sabers we build to spin, reverse and pass between hands. If you train, choreograph or spar regularly, pair it with a 7/8” blade at 26” or 32” and you have a genuine working saber rather than a display piece.

Common Questions

Is this saber suitable for real dueling?

Yes. The hilt is machined aluminium and the blade is combat-grade polycarbonate rated for full contact. For heavy, frequent dueling the S-RGB configuration is the most resilient; pixel blades are also duel-ready but carry more electronics inside the blade.

Is this a good saber for spinning and choreography?

It is the reason this hilt exists. The stunt profile is lightweight, streamlined and balanced for movement, which makes it fast in transitions and forgiving in reverse grips.

Should I order the 1” or the 7/8” blade?

7/8” is the lighter, faster blade and suits the way this hilt is meant to be used. 1” is thicker-walled and brighter if you want more presence. They are not interchangeable between hilts.

How does this differ from the hero version of the hilt?

The stunt design is simplified — a plainer emitter, a stripped-down body, and fewer raised details — because it was built to survive fight rehearsals rather than close-up photography.

How long does it take to arrive?
