Choosing Your Configuration

Three boards. Three blade lengths. One blade diameter. Here is what actually changes when you pick.

S-RGB (baselit). One high-output LED seated in the hilt, lighting a diffused blade. Bright, brutally durable, and the choice for anyone who intends to duel hard and often. Smooth swing is included. This is the configuration that shrugs off punishment and asks for nothing in return.

SNV4 Pixel. An LED strip running the full length of the blade. Ignition and retraction travel up and down the blade, and flash-on-clash fires at the exact point of impact. No setup needed, nothing to configure — this is where most collectors land.

Proffie Pixel. The same pixel blade, driven by a fully programmable board. Custom sound fonts, custom blade styles, gesture controls, and configuration files you can rewrite yourself. Choose Proffie if you want to tinker. Choose SNV4 if you want it perfect out of the box.

Blade length. 32” is the standard adult dueling length and the safe default. 26” suits shorter wielders, tight choreography and indoor sparring. 36” is reach and presence, and it is the one that looks biggest on a stand.

Blade diameter. The Negotiator is built around a 1” blade — thicker-walled and brighter than the 7/8” blades used on some hilts in our range. The two are not interchangeable, so if you already own blades, check what you have before you order.

A word on handling. At approximately 11 inches and around a pound, this is a balanced, middle-weight hilt, and the grenade-style grip gives you a genuinely secure two-handed hold. That matters here more than on most sabers: this is a defensive design, built for the patient, controlled bladework of a duelist who wins by outlasting. Pair it with a 32” blade and it does exactly what it was shaped to do.

What is the grenade-style grip actually like in the hand?

It is machined into the hilt itself, not a wrap or a sleeve — a ridged, textured section that locks a two-handed hold in place. Combined with an approximately 11 inch body and around a pound of weight, it gives you a controlled, deliberate saber rather than a whippy one.

Does The Negotiator take a 1 inch or a 7/8 inch blade?

1 inch. A 1” blade has a thicker wall and throws more light, which makes it brighter and slightly more robust. It is not interchangeable with 7/8” blades, so order to match this hilt.

Can I change the blade color?

Yes, on every configuration. All three boards — Proffie, SNV4 and S-RGB — offer full color adjustment, so the blade is yours to set.

Is this saber suitable for real dueling?

Yes. The hilt is precision-machined aluminum with a rigid internal structure and a reinforced, removable chassis, and the blade is combat-grade polycarbonate rated for full contact. For heavy, frequent dueling the S-RGB configuration is the most resilient; the pixel boards are duel-ready too, but carry more electronics inside the blade.

How long does it take to arrive?

Orders ship within 14–21 business days. Once shipped, delivery takes a further 7–10 days, in the US and internationally.
