Design Inspiration

Modeled after the hidden saber the desert hermit buried and later unearthed, The Buried Negotiator embodies the quiet endurance of a guardian living in the shadows.

It mirrors the iconic design of the blade he carried through the last war of the Republic — but older, scarred, and worn by time and exile. The weathered aesthetic captures the tone of that chapter perfectly: the galaxy has changed… and so has its once-great protector.

Choosing Your Configuration

Three boards. Three blade lengths. One diameter. Here is what actually changes when you pick.

S-RGB (baselit). One high-output LED seated in the hilt, lighting a diffused blade. Bright, brutally durable, and the choice for anyone who intends to duel hard and often. Smooth swing is included. A weathered saber is bought to be carried and used, and this is the setup that takes the most abuse without complaint.

SNV4 Pixel. An LED strip running the full length of the blade. Ignition and retraction travel up and down the blade, and flash-on-clash fires at the exact point of impact. It needs no setup on your part, and it is where most collectors land.

Proffie Pixel. The same pixel blade, driven by a fully programmable board. Custom sound fonts, custom blade styles, gesture controls, and configuration files you can edit yourself. Choose Proffie if you want to tinker. Choose SNV4 if you want it perfect out of the box.

Blade length. 32” is the standard adult dueling length and the safe default. 26” suits shorter wielders, tight choreography and indoor sparring. 36” is reach and display presence.

Blade diameter. This hilt is built around a 1" blade — thicker-walled and brighter than a 7/8" blade, and not interchangeable with one. If you already own blades, order to match.

One thing worth knowing before you order. The distressing is a hand-applied finish on real aircraft-grade aluminum, not a wrap or a printed pattern, so no two hilts leave us looking quite the same. At approximately 11 inches and around a pound this stays a balanced, controlled saber in the hand — heavy enough to feel like it has survived something, light enough to duel with all evening.

Common Questions

Will my saber look exactly like the photos?

Close, but not identical. The aging is applied by hand to each hilt, so the pattern of scarring, darkening and worn edges varies between units. That variation is the whole point of a weathered finish — this is a saber that is meant to look like it has a history.

Does the weathered finish rub off with use?

No. It is a finishing process on the aircraft-grade aluminum itself rather than a coating or a wrap, so handling and dueling tend to deepen the character rather than strip it away.

Can I change the blade color from blue?

Yes. All three boards offer full color customization, so while the classic blue is the obvious choice for this hilt, the blade is yours to set to anything you like.

Is this saber suitable for real dueling?

Yes. The hilt is heavy-duty aircraft-grade aluminum with a reinforced, removable internal structure, and the blade is combat-grade polycarbonate rated for full contact. For heavy, frequent use the S-RGB configuration is the most resilient; the pixel boards are duel-ready too, but carry more electronics inside the blade.

How long does it take to arrive?
