The Katana
THE KATANA
“Honor forged in metal. Power guided by discipline.”
Where ancient tradition meets galactic legend, The Katana stands apart as one of the most striking sabers ever forged by Saber Works. Inspired by the timeless form of the samurai sword and reimagined through the lens of a far-off galaxy of knights and broken orders, this saber blends elegance, balance, and lethal precision into a single, unmistakable weapon.
Adorned with intricate gold and silver detailing, wrapped in a traditional katana-style grip, and crowned with a refined emitter design, The Katana is more than a saber — it is a statement of mastery.
This is not the weapon of chaos.
It is the blade of restraint.
Design Inspiration
The Katana draws inspiration from the ancient warrior codes of the samurai — discipline, loyalty, and controlled power — fused seamlessly with saber technology. Every engraved accent and metallic flourish reflects ceremonial craftsmanship, while the streamlined profile ensures it remains fully functional for wielding and dueling.
The exposed mid-section detailing and elegant guard elements evoke the feeling of a traditional tsuba, while the gold accents symbolize honor and rank, contrasted by silver finishes that represent clarity and resolve.
This saber belongs to a warrior who strikes only when necessary — and never misses.
Choosing Your Configuration
Three boards. Three blade lengths. Here is what actually changes when you choose.
S-RGB — One high-output LED seated in the hilt, lighting a diffused blade. Bright, brutally durable, and the configuration to pick if you intend to duel hard and often. Smooth swing is included. This is the setup that shrugs off punishment, and it suits the disciplined, controlled striking this hilt was shaped for.
SNV4 Pixel — An LED strip running the full length of the blade. Ignition and retraction travel up and down the blade, and flash-on-clash fires at the exact point of impact. No setup is required on your part. This is where most collectors land, and it is the configuration that does the most for the gold and silver detailing in low light.
Proffie Pixel — The same pixel blade, driven by a fully programmable board. Custom sound fonts, custom blade styles, gesture controls, and configuration files you can rewrite yourself. Choose Proffie if you want to tinker. Choose SNV4 if you want it perfect out of the box.
Blade length — 32" is the standard adult dueling length and the safe default. 26" suits shorter wielders, tight choreography and indoor sparring. 36" is reach and presence, and it is the one that reads largest on a stand.
A word on this hilt in particular: the katana-style wrap and the guard detailing reward a two-handed, deliberate style. Balance is the whole point here — the grip locks the hands in place for controlled strikes, spins and disciplined dueling rather than loose, wandering flourishes. If you train forms, this is a hilt that will teach you something about restraint.

Common Questions
Is this saber suitable for real dueling?
Yes. The hilt is machined from aircraft-grade metal and the blade is combat-ready polycarbonate rated for full contact. For heavy, frequent use the S-RGB configuration is the most resilient; the pixel boards are duel-ready too, but carry more electronics inside the blade.
What is the katana-style grip actually like in the hand?
Wrapped, textured and built for a committed two-handed hold. It is a warmer, higher-friction grip than a bare polished section, and it is the reason this hilt stays locked in through spins and rapid transitions.
Can I change the blade colour?
Yes, on every configuration. All three boards allow fully customizable blade colors, so the gold-and-silver hilt can be paired with whatever blade you want.
Which blade length should I order?
32” is standard for most adults. Choose 26” if you are shorter, duel indoors, or want the fastest handling. Choose 36” for maximum reach and display presence.
How long does it take to arrive?
