Choosing Your Configuration

Three boards. Three blade lengths. Here is what actually changes when you pick.

S-RGB — One high-output LED seated in the hilt, lighting a diffused blade. Bright, brutally durable, and the choice for anyone who intends to duel hard and often. Smooth swing included. This is the configuration that shrugs off punishment.

SNV4 Pixel — An LED strip running the full length of the blade. Ignition and retraction travel up and down the blade, and flash-on-clash fires at the exact point of impact. No setup needed, and this is where most collectors land.

Proffie Pixel — The same pixel blade, driven by a fully programmable board. Custom sound fonts, custom blade styles, gesture controls, motion-based ignition and configuration files you can rewrite yourself. Choose Proffie if you want to tinker — and on a hilt built in honour of a man who rewrote the rules, tinkering is rather the point. Choose SNV4 if you want it perfect out of the box.

Blade length — 32” is the standard adult dueling length and the safe default. 26” suits shorter wielders, tight choreography and indoor sparring. 36” is reach and display presence.

One thing worth knowing before you order: the Laserman takes a 1” blade — thicker-walled, brighter, and not interchangeable with 7/8” hilts, so match what you already own. At roughly a pound and 11–12 inches it is one of the longer hilts in the range, which suits the sweeping, experimental movement this design was drawn for. The multi-tier emitter crown wants space to be seen; give it a 32” or 36” blade and it earns its silhouette.

Common Questions

Is this saber suitable for real dueling?

Yes. The hilt is a machined high-polish alloy body over a reinforced internal core, and the blade is combat-grade polycarbonate rated for full contact. For heavy, frequent use the S-RGB configuration is the most resilient; pixel blades are duel-ready too, but carry more electronics inside the blade.

Is the multi-tier emitter crown fragile?

No. It is machined from the same alloy body as the rest of the hilt rather than added on, so it takes contact the way the hilt does. It is the defining feature of this design and it was cut, not glued.

What does the removable electronics module mean for me?

It means the internals come out as one piece. Battery access, board access and maintenance are all straightforward, and if you ever want to change configuration you are not fighting the hilt to get inside it.

Does the grip texturing suit spinning and flourishes?

It does. The segmented grip ridges give you a defined, high-friction hold on a polished body, and the ergonomic profile is what makes the fluid, experimental movement this saber was designed around possible without the hilt sliding in your hand.
