Vortex SE
THE VORTEX SE
“A warrior’s blade. A survivor’s tool. A weapon built for those who don’t hesitate.”
Forged for fighters who value precision over ornament and survival over ceremony, the Vortex SE distills the iconic saber used by the legendary soldier-turned-knight into a streamlined, battle-ready form. Every unnecessary embellishment has been stripped away. Every surface has been refined for grip, control, and raw dueling performance. The result is a saber that feels like an extension of your arm — balanced, durable, and brutally efficient.
The Vortex SE retains the spirit of that rugged, utilitarian hilt from the expanded lore, but evolves it with modern machining, reinforced internals, and a slimmer chassis profile. It’s built not for display (though it displays beautifully) — but for warriors who intend to actually use their weapon.
Design Inspiration
The soldier-turned-knight carried a saber forged in hardship and honed through conflict. The Vortex SE captures that same philosophy: simple, reliable, wieldable under any circumstance.
This isn’t a showpiece — it’s a fighter’s saber. Clean lines, no bulky shrouds, no oversized control box, no distractions. Just a rugged hilt built for gritty saber combat and fluid movement.
Where many sabers are made to look impressive, the Vortex SE is made to perform.

Choosing Your Configuration
Three boards. Three blade lengths. Here is what actually changes when you pick.
S-RGB — One high-output LED seated in the hilt, lighting a diffused blade. Bright, brutally durable, and the choice for anyone who intends to duel hard and often. Smooth swing is included. Given that this hilt is explicitly built for maximum durability in active dueling, S-RGB is the configuration that matches its intent most closely.
SNV4 Pixel — An LED strip running the full length of the blade. Ignition and retraction travel up and down the blade, and flash-on-clash fires at the exact point of impact. It needs no setup on your part, and it is where most collectors land.
Proffie Pixel — The same pixel blade, driven by a fully programmable board. Custom sound fonts, custom blade styles, advanced gesture controls, and configuration files you can rewrite yourself. Choose Proffie to tinker; choose SNV4 to have it perfect out of the box.
Blade length — 32” is the standard adult dueling length and the safe default. 26” suits shorter wielders, tight choreography and indoor sparring. 36” is reach and display presence.
Blade diameter — The Vortex SE takes a 1” blade. A 1” blade is thicker-walled and brighter; a 7/8 inch blade is lighter and faster. The two are not interchangeable between hilts, so order to match anything you already own.
The character of this hilt is in what is missing. No bulky shrouds, no oversized control box, just a simplified activation plate and streamlined ribbing where your hand actually sits. At roughly 11.2 inches and 0.9 to 1 lb it is light enough for sustained flourishes and reverse grips, and the reinforced emitter and stronger threading mean the places that usually fail on a saber are the places this one was built up. If you are choosing between agility and presence, take the 26” blade for spins or the 32” for standard duelling reach.

Common Questions
Is this saber suitable for real dueling?
Yes — it is built for it more openly than most. Full aluminium alloy body, slim reinforced removable core, reinforced emitter and stronger threading, with a combat-grade polycarbonate blade rated for full contact. For heavy, frequent use the S-RGB configuration is the most resilient.
What are the tactical-texture grip zones like?
They are machined into the polished metallic surface rather than added on, giving you positive grip exactly where the hand sits without the bulk of a wrap or a shroud. Combined with the streamlined ribbing, it holds securely through sweat and long sessions.
Why is the control box gone?
Because it is a snag point and a weak point. The Vortex SE replaces it with a simplified activation plate, which keeps the profile clean for spins and reverse grips and removes one more thing that can be knocked in a duel.
Is it good for spinning and choreography?
Yes. At roughly 0.9 to 1 lb over an 11.2 inch hilt, with ergonomic shaping and nothing protruding, it is one of the more agile sabers we build. Pair it with a 26” blade for the fastest possible setup.
