Blue Ascendance SE
THE BLUE ASCENDANCE SE
Balanced. Lightweight. Built to Move.
The Blue Ascendance SE Saber carries the unmistakable spirit of a young Jedi's first journey, refined into a streamlined saber designed for movement, training, and dependable performance. Inspired by the blue-bladed weapon associated with Obi-Wan Kenobi during the events of The Phantom Menace, the Blue Ascendance SE preserves the recognizable character of the original while taking a more practical approach to construction.
While the original Blue Ascendance focuses on replica accuracy, collector-level detailing, and the look and feel of the screen-inspired weapon, the SE version is designed with usability in mind. Its lighter construction, simplified engineering, and streamlined profile make it easier to wield, spin, practice with, and bring into controlled dueling environments.
This is the Blue Ascendance designed to leave the display stand.
Design Inspiration
The Blue Ascendance SE draws its visual identity from the saber wielded by Obi-Wan Kenobi during his early years as a Jedi. The original weapon represents the transition from Padawan to Jedi Knight, and the SE interpretation carries that same sense of progression into a more approachable and functional design.
The philosophy behind the SE is simple:
• Preserve the recognizable silhouette and character of the original saber.
• Reduce unnecessary weight for faster handling and improved maneuverability.
• Simplify construction to create a saber that can be used regularly.
• Maintain the visual presence of the original while prioritizing comfort and performance.
The result is a saber that feels familiar without being overly heavy or delicate, making it suitable for everything from learning your first spins to practicing more advanced forms.

Choosing Your Configuration
Three boards. Three blade lengths. Here is what actually changes when you choose.
S RGB Baselit, Built for Dueling — One high output LED seated inside the hilt illuminates a durable diffused blade. The S RGB configuration keeps the electronics out of the blade, making it the most resilient option for repeated blade contact, sparring, choreography, and active training. Smooth swing, flash on clash, and full RGB color control are included. If the Blue Ascendance SE is going to be used regularly rather than simply displayed, this is the configuration to consider.
SNV4 Pixel — An LED strip runs through the full length of the blade, allowing ignition and retraction effects to travel naturally from the hilt to the tip. Flash on clash activates directly at the point of impact, while customizable blade profiles and smooth swing create a more cinematic experience. No complicated setup is required, making SNV4 an excellent choice for collectors who want impressive effects straight out of the box.
Proffie Pixel — The same full pixel blade experience, powered by a fully programmable board. Proffie provides extensive control over sound fonts, blade styles, gesture controls, ignition effects, and configuration files. Choose Proffie if you want to experiment and customize the saber extensively, while SNV4 is the simpler choice for an impressive experience without additional programming.
Blade Length — 32 inches is the standard adult dueling length and the recommended starting point for most wielders. 26 inches is ideal for shorter wielders, tighter choreography, and indoor practice, while 36 inches provides additional reach and a larger visual presence.
Blade Diameter — The Blue Ascendance SE takes a one inch blade. The one inch diameter provides a substantial, durable blade suitable for active use, and the blade system should be selected to match your chosen electronics configuration.
The honest advice on this hilt is simple. The Blue Ascendance SE was designed to be lighter and easier to handle than the original replica, making it a more approachable choice for regular practice. If you intend to train, spin, or duel frequently, the S RGB Baselit configuration paired with a 32 inch blade is the most practical setup. If your priority is cinematic presentation and display, the SNV4 or Proffie Pixel configurations provide the visual effects that bring the saber to life.
Electronics Options Explained
Proffie and SNV4 Pixel:
Designed for cinematic presentation and immersive customization. These configurations provide advanced sound design, dynamic ignition effects, smooth swing response, flash on clash interaction, and customizable blade profiles.
The pixel blade produces a bright, animated ignition sequence that travels along the entire blade, creating the visual effect associated with premium cinematic sabers.
S RGB Baselit, Built for Dueling:
The S RGB configuration uses an in hilt LED system specifically designed for durability during repeated blade contact. Because the lighting electronics remain inside the hilt rather than inside the blade, there are fewer delicate components exposed to the stresses of active use.
This makes S RGB the preferred configuration for sparring, choreography training, and frequent wielding while still providing vibrant RGB colors, smooth swing, and responsive sound effects.
If your priority is active use, durability, and longevity, S RGB is the recommended configuration.

Common Questions
Is the Blue Ascendance SE suitable for dueling?
Yes. The saber is designed around a lighter aluminum construction and a duel ready polycarbonate blade. The S RGB Baselit configuration is the recommended option for frequent or heavier use because its LED system remains inside the hilt rather than inside the blade.
How is the SE different from the original Blue Ascendance?
The original Blue Ascendance focuses more heavily on replica accuracy, premium materials, and collector-level detailing. The SE version prioritizes lighter handling, simplified construction, maneuverability, and practical everyday use.
Is this a good first saber?
The lighter construction and approachable handling make the Blue Ascendance SE particularly well suited to newer wielders. It provides enough responsiveness for learning basic movements while remaining useful as your skills develop.
Can I change the blade color?
Yes. All three electronics configurations support RGB blade colors. The pixel configurations additionally provide customizable blade profiles and dynamic ignition effects.
Which configuration should I choose?
For active training, sparring, and frequent wielding, S RGB Baselit is the practical choice. For cinematic blade effects and straightforward operation, SNV4 Pixel is an excellent option. For extensive customization and programming control, Proffie Pixel provides the most flexibility.
