Choosing Your Configuration

The Maverick is not configured the way most sabers in our range are. Two versions, one blade, and one decision that matters more than any other.

Empty hilt — The precision-machined hilt on its own, no electronics and no blade. This is the version for collectors who want the object itself, and for custom builders who intend to fit their own board, their own wiring and their own sound. Nothing is pre-installed, so nothing has to be undone.

Proffieboard V3.9 installed — The complete saber, built, calibrated and tested. Proffie is the fully programmable board: custom sound fonts, custom blade styles, editable configuration files, dynamic ignition sequences and advanced motion response. The installed version runs a NeoPixel blade, so ignition and retraction travel the length of the blade and flash-on-clash fires at the point of impact. Every installed Maverick also arrives with 15 licensed K-Sith sound fonts preloaded, free.

There is no baselit or S-RGB option on this hilt, and no SNV4. The Maverick is offered as an empty hilt or as a Proffie NeoPixel saber — nothing between the two. If you want a board that is flawless out of the box with no configuration on your part, this is not that saber. Proffie rewards the people who like to tinker, which is rather the point of a hilt named for a man who never did as he was told.

Blade — One diameter, one length. The installed version ships with a 32 inch, 1 inch combat-ready polycarbonate blade. A 1 inch blade has a thicker wall and throws more light than the 7/8 inch blades used across much of our range, and the two diameters are not interchangeable between hilts. If you already own blades, check what you have before you order.

A word on handling. This is a replica with brass accent detailing and a refined grip balance, weighted to feel natural rather than aggressive in the hand. Its own brief is display-level accuracy paired with practical handling — collection, cosplay and controlled choreography — rather than heavy sparring. Buy it for what it is: a centerpiece that happens to be genuinely satisfying to move with.

Are the 15 K-Sith sound fonts really included free?

Yes. Every installed Maverick includes 15 licensed K-Sith sound fonts, loaded and optimized at our Florida workshop, at no extra cost. This is included on every installed saber without exception.

What blade does the Maverick take?

Is this saber suitable for real dueling?

Not heavy, full-contact dueling, and we would rather say so plainly. The hilt is CNC machined aluminum with a fully removable precision chassis and the blade is combat ready polycarbonate, so the materials are serious. But the Maverick is specified as a collector grade, centerpiece-level saber for display, collection and controlled performance use — cosplay, choreography, controlled contact. If you want a hilt built to be beaten on week after week, choose one of our dedicated dueling models instead.

How long does it take to arrive?

Orders ship within 14–21 business days. Once shipped, delivery takes a further 7–10 days, in the US and internationally.
