The Cere is a tribute to one of the most complex survivors of the purge — the Mentor, guide to the Survivor and one of the last remaining masters of her era. Inspired by the hilt she wields throughout the source material and its sequel, this saber embodies discipline forged through tragedy, restraint sharpened into power, and the courage to rise again after falling.

Design Inspiration

The Cere draws directly from the clean, functional, and quietly beautiful design of the Mentor’s in-game saber. Once broken, reforged, and passed on, her hilt reflects her journey through loss, redemption, and renewed purpose.

Its brushed metallic finish and minimalist form echo the old way of the Order — practical over flashy, refined over ornamental — a warrior’s tool shaped by experience and conviction.

Choosing Your Configuration

Three boards. Three blade lengths. Here is what actually changes when you pick.

S-RGB — One high-output LED seated in the hilt, lighting a diffused blade. Bright, brutally durable, and the choice for anyone who intends to duel hard and often. Smooth swing is included. This is the configuration that shrugs off punishment, and the most forgiving first saber.

SNV4 Pixel — An LED strip running the full length of the blade. Ignition and retraction travel up and down the blade, and flash-on-clash fires at the exact point of impact. It needs no setup on your part, and it is where most collectors land.

Proffie Pixel — The same pixel blade, driven by a fully programmable board. Custom sound fonts, custom blade styles, gesture controls, and configuration files you can rewrite yourself. Choose Proffie if you want to tinker. Choose SNV4 if you want it perfect out of the box.

Blade length — 32” is the standard adult dueling length and the safe default. 26” suits shorter wielders, tight choreography and indoor sparring. 36” is reach and display presence.

Blade diameter — The Cere takes a 7/8” blade. That is the lighter, faster diameter, and it is a large part of why this hilt handles the way it does. A 7/8” blade will not fit a 1” hilt, so order to match what you already own.

At around a pound and 11 to 11.5 inches, this is a slim, restrained hilt — no shroud, no flare, nothing to catch the hand. It is one of the quicker sabers we build and a genuinely comfortable one to hold for a long session, which suits a design built on restraint rather than spectacle.

Common Questions

Is this saber suitable for real dueling?

Yes. The hilt is machined aluminium and the blade is combat-grade polycarbonate rated for full contact. For heavy, frequent dueling the S-RGB configuration is the most resilient; pixel blades are also duel-ready but carry more electronics inside the blade.

What blade diameter does The Cere take?

7/8”. That is the lighter, faster of the two diameters we build for. It will not fit a 1” hilt, so if you already own blades, check before ordering.

Is this a good first saber?

It is one of the better ones. The profile is slim and unfussy, the weight is around a pound, and in S-RGB form it is durable enough to learn on without worrying about what you hit.

Can I change the blade colour and sound font?

Yes. Colors, ignition styles, fonts and effects are all customizable across the range. Proffie gives you the deepest control if you want to write your own.

How long does it take to arrive?

Orders ship within 14–21 business days. Once shipped, delivery takes a further 7–10 days, in the US and internationally.
