Choosing Your Configuration

Two hilts, one decision. Here is what actually changes when you pick.

Proffieboard V3.9 installed — Both hilts arrive built, tuned and synchronized by Elf Sabers, with a battery included and preconfigured in each. Proffie is the most programmable board we fit: fully customizable blade profiles, deep sound customization, motion accuracy tuning, and independent or synchronized control across the pair. Fifteen licensed K-Sith sound fonts are loaded free before the set ships, so both sabers speak from the moment you open the box.

Empty Collector Shell set — Both precision machined hilt shells and nothing inside them. The fully removable chassis system is intact, so this is the route for custom builders who intend to specify their own boards, their own batteries, their own sound. No electronics, no battery, no compromise on the machining.

Blade platform — This is a fixed, deliberate pairing rather than a menu: one 32 inch NeoPixel blade and one 26 inch NeoPixel blade, both 1 inch diameter. The long blade gives you reach and presence; the short blade gives you speed and recovery. That asymmetry is the whole point of the design — it is what lets the offhand cover while the lead blade commits. A 1 inch blade is thicker-walled and brighter than a 7/8 inch blade, and the two are not interchangeable between hilts, so check what you already own before ordering spares.

A word on handling before you commit. Two sabers is not twice one saber — it is a different skill, and it takes most people longer to feel natural than they expect. The good news is that this pair is balanced for exactly that learning curve: light in the wrist, quick to reverse, and forgiving in transition. It is not sold as a heavy-contact sparring pair.

Common Questions

Are both sabers fully functional on their own?

Yes. In the installed version each hilt carries its own Proffieboard V3.9 and its own preconfigured battery, so either saber runs independently. They can be driven as a synchronized pair or controlled separately — that choice is yours, not the board’s.

Why is one blade 32 inches and the other 26?

Because that asymmetry is the design. The long blade carries reach, presence and commitment; the short blade covers, recovers and redirects. Together they form the coordinated system this set was modeled on, and the balance of each hilt is tuned around its own blade length rather than treated as an afterthought.

What is the difference between the installed set and the Empty Collector Shell set?

The installed set arrives complete — boards fitted and calibrated by Elf Sabers, batteries preconfigured per hilt, 15 licensed K-Sith sound fonts loaded free at our Florida workshop, both sabers tested as a pair. The empty set is both precision machined hilt shells with the removable chassis system and no internals, for collectors and custom builders who want to specify everything themselves.

Is this set suitable for real dueling?

Judge it by what it was built for. The construction is serious — CNC machined aluminum, anodized and polished combat grade surface treatment, a rigid removable chassis in each hilt, and 1 inch NeoPixel blades. But the remit stated for this set is display, choreography, spinning and controlled dual wield practice, and pixel blades carry electronics along their whole length. Buy it for flow work, controlled practice and presence. It is not sold to us, or by us, as a heavy full-contact sparring pair.
