Where we lose
Let us deal with this first, because it is the honest headline.
We are the slowest of the four. Nsabers ships in 2–4 business days. CCSabers can have an 89 Sabers hilt moving in 2–5. NEO Sabers quotes 10–14 working days to delivery. We take 14–21 business days to build before anything ships, and then 7–10 days on top.
If your saber is a gift with a date on it, or you want it for a convention in two weeks, we are the wrong choice and we would rather you knew that on this page than after you had paid.
The reason is structural, not operational. We do not hold finished sabers. Every hilt we sell is offered with three different boards and three different blade lengths, which is over a thousand distinct configurations across the range. Nobody stocks a thousand finished sabers. So when you order, yours gets built.
That is a real trade and you should make it deliberately: you wait longer, and in exchange you get the exact configuration you chose rather than the closest thing on a shelf.
Where we win
The returns policy
This is the clearest gap of the four, and it is worth understanding because it is where saber buyers most often get caught.
Our position: returns are free for 30 days, we send you a prepaid label, and there is no restocking fee. If the saber is not right, you send it back unused in its original packaging and it costs you nothing.
NEO Sabers' published policy is materially different. Their modification and cancellations page states a "$20 restocking fee" for cancellations, that "Orders cannot be cancelled after 24 hours", and that "PayPal Fee and credit card processing Fee is not refundable". Nsabers state that "cancellation may incur a small fee" without naming a figure. Neither CCSabers nor NEO Sabers published a return window on the pages we checked.
We are not claiming those terms are unreasonable — a company that pre-builds stock has different economics to one that builds to order. But if you are the kind of buyer who wants a genuine escape route on a $300 purchase, that difference is the thing to look at. More detail in our NEO Sabers policy review.
Configuration is a real choice, not a stock lottery
On most of our hilts you pick the board and the blade length yourself:
- S-RGB — one high-output LED in the hilt lighting a diffused blade. The most resilient option, and the one to buy if you duel hard and often. From $100 on the A01.
- SNV4 Pixel — a full-length LED strip. Ignition travels up the blade, flash-on-clash fires at the point of impact, and it needs no setup. From $175.
- Proffie Pixel — the same pixel blade on a fully programmable board. Custom fonts, custom blade styles, editable config files. From $239.
Then 26, 32 or 36 inch blade, at the same price. Blade length is a configuration choice, not an upsell.

Choose Nsabers if speed is the priority
They publish 2–4 business days to ship and 7–12 days to deliver, and they state that all their sabers are "engineered for full-contact dueling" with polycarbonate that "can absorb heavy blows without shattering". They also list a one-year warranty on manufacturing defects. If you need a saber quickly and you intend to hit things with it, that is a coherent offer.
Choose CCSabers if you want to browse several manufacturers at once
CCSabers is a reseller rather than a single-brand builder. Their FAQ describes stock from TXQ, LGT and 89 Sabers, each with its own shipping speed and its own durability position. They publish a "12-month full electronics warranty".
The advantage is range in one basket. The thing to watch is that durability is not uniform across what they sell: by their own description, 89 Sabers are "primarily designed for light dueling and display" while TXQ is "built to withstand moderate/heavy dueling". If you are buying to duel, read which brand you are actually adding to the cart.
Choose NEO Sabers if their specific hilt designs are what you want
They quote "within 10-14 working days of order placement" for delivery, which puts them between the fast sellers and us. Go in aware of the cancellation terms above: the window is 24 hours and there is a $20 restocking fee attached.
Choose StarForged if you want the configuration you actually want, with a real way out
You wait three to four weeks. In exchange you choose your board and your blade length, you get a one-year warranty, and you get 30 days to change your mind at no cost to you. That is the trade, stated plainly.
What to compare when you shop, whoever you buy from
Four questions cut through most of the marketing in this category:
- Is the quoted time to ship, or to arrive? "Ships in 3 days" and "arrives in 3 days" are very different sentences, and the difference is often two weeks.
- Who pays return postage? Not "do they accept returns" — everyone says yes. Who pays the postage, and is there a restocking fee.
- Is this blade rated for contact, specifically? Not the brand — this blade, this configuration. Pixel blades carry electronics inside them; baselit blades do not.
- How long is the warranty and what voids it? A one-year warranty that excludes anything that has been used is not a one-year warranty.

Orders ship within 14–21 business days. Once shipped, delivery takes a further 7–10 days, in the US and internationally. Shipping within the US is free; international is a flat $50.
Returns are free for 30 days. If it is not right, you will not pay to send it back to us. The saber needs to come back unused and undamaged in its original packaging, and you email us first so we can send you a prepaid label and instructions. Every saber carries a one-year warranty against manufacturing defects.
