This Special Edition takes that recognizable silhouette and rebuilds it from the inside out — lighter, slimmer, and meticulously engineered for pure dueling performance.

The Stable Nephew SE is a tribute to the young student of the Order who had not yet been broken by betrayal. A weapon from a simpler time, before the crack of a fractured crystal core and before the darkness reshaped his destiny.

Design Inspiration

Inspired by the clean, polished lines of his training saber, the Stable Nephew SE focuses on balance, fluidity, and comfort above all else. Its diameter is reduced, its profile streamlined, and its weight distribution perfected — giving wielders unmatched control in both one-handed and two-handed forms.

This is not the chaotic crossguard weapon he would later build.

Choosing Your Configuration

Three boards, three blade lengths, one blade diameter. Here is what actually changes when you choose.

S-RGB — One high-output LED seated in the hilt, lighting a diffused blade. Bright, brutally durable, and the choice for anyone who intends to duel hard and often. Smooth swing included. On a hilt this deliberately optimized for long dueling sessions, it is the configuration that takes the most abuse without complaint.

SNV4 Pixel — An LED strip running the full length of the blade. Ignition and retraction travel up and down the blade, and flash-on-clash fires at the exact point of impact. No setup needed. This is where most collectors land, and it suits the clean silver finish beautifully in low light.

Proffie Pixel — The same pixel blade, driven by a fully programmable board. Custom sound fonts, custom blade styles, gesture controls, and configuration files you can rewrite yourself. Choose Proffie to tinker. Choose SNV4 to have it perfect out of the box.

Blade diameter — This hilt takes a 1” blade. A 1” blade has a thicker wall and throws more light, so it runs brighter and slightly more robust than the 7/8” blades used elsewhere in the range. The two are not interchangeable, so order to match this hilt.

Blade length — 32” is the standard adult dueling length and the safe default. 26” suits shorter wielders, tight choreography and indoor sparring. 36” is reach and display presence.

One thing worth knowing before you order: at roughly 0.9–1 lb with a reduced-diameter body and a low-profile emitter, this is one of the fastest hilts we build. Nothing catches the hand on a transition, and the slim grip is genuinely comfortable held two-handed for a long session. If you want a saber to spin and fence with rather than swing heavily, this is the one — and a 26” blade sharpens that character further.

Common Questions

Is this saber suitable for real dueling?

Yes — it is the reason the SE exists. Machined aluminum alloy hilt, reinforced internal architecture and a combat-ready polycarbonate blade rated for full contact. For heavy, frequent use, S-RGB is the most resilient configuration.

How does the slim grip feel compared with a standard hilt?

Narrower and smoother. The reduced diameter and lack of bulky ornamentation make it easier to wrap both hands around comfortably, and the low-profile emitter means nothing snags during spins and transitions.

Will my 7/8” blades fit?

No. This is a 1” blade hilt, and the two diameters are not interchangeable. Order the blade that matches.

Can I change the blade colour?

Yes, on every configuration. All three boards offer customizable blade colors and profiles, and Proffie adds custom blade styles and sound fonts as well.
