Menace SE
THE MENACE SE
“A blade of fury. A weapon of precision. A legacy reborn for warriors who refuse to hold back.”
Inspired by the iconic double-bladed saber wielded by a certain horned warrior of the dark order in the source material, the Menace SE reimagines that legendary weapon with a modern Saber Works twist. Built for speed, balance, and brutal elegance, this edition strips away the overly intricate greeblies of the original design to deliver a clean, streamlined, duel-optimized hilt that feels dangerously natural in the hands.
From the emitter all the way to the pommel, every line of the Menace SE is carved with purpose. The grip is contoured and ribbed for maximum control, while the refined silhouette keeps the weight balanced for spins, staff work, and high-intensity choreography. This is the horned warrior’s legacy — engineered for the warriors who actually want to use their saber, not just display it.
Design Inspiration
While the original prop was visually striking, its complexity made it difficult for fast-paced dueling. The Menace SE solves that — maintaining the unmistakable style of that infamous assassin of the dark order while refining the design into a combat-ready beast. Sleek lines replace cluttered textures. Clean surfaces replace exposed parts. The result? A hilt that’s faithful in spirit but superior in performance.

Choosing Your Configuration
Three boards and one decision no other hilt in the range asks of you. Here is what actually changes when you pick.
Single or staff. This is the first choice, and you do not have to make it permanently — the coupler is included, so the Menace SE runs as a ~11–12 inch single hilt or a ~22–24 inch staff whenever you want it to. Single is faster to learn and easier indoors. Staff is what this design exists for: spins, flourishes, two-handed strikes and the acrobatic work the weight balance was tuned around. Two blades are in the box either way.
S-RGB — One high-output LED seated in the hilt, lighting a diffused blade. Bright, brutally durable, and the choice for anyone who intends to duel hard and often. Smooth swing included. On a staff, where you are twice as likely to take a hit while learning, this is the setup that shrugs off punishment.
SNV4 Pixel — An LED strip running the full length of the blade. Ignition and retraction travel up and down the blade, and flash-on-clash fires at the exact point of impact. No setup needed on your part, and this is where most collectors land — a travelling ignition running out of both ends at once is the whole reason to own a staff.
Proffie Pixel — The same pixel blade, driven by a fully programmable board. Custom sound fonts, custom blade styles, motion-based ignition, full menu customization and configuration files you can rewrite yourself. Choose Proffie if you want to tinker. Choose SNV4 if you want it perfect out of the box. Staff-sync effects run in dual-blade mode on every board.
One thing worth knowing before you order: the Menace SE takes 1” blades — thicker-walled, brighter, and not interchangeable with 7/8” hilts, so match what you already own. And be honest with yourself about staff work: a coupled hilt is over twice the length of a normal saber and needs clear space around you. If you spin, this is the most rewarding hilt we build. If you have never run a staff before, start uncoupled.

Common Questions
Is this saber suitable for real dueling?
Yes. Duel-ready machined aluminum alloy hilt and combat-grade polycarbonate blades rated for full contact. For heavy, frequent use the S-RGB configuration is the most resilient; pixel blades are duel-ready too, but carry more electronics inside the blade.
Can I run it as a single saber?
Yes. It is designed for both. Uncoupled it is a ~11–12 inch single hilt; with the included coupler it becomes a ~22–24 inch staff. You switch between the two whenever you like — nothing is fixed at purchase.
Do I need experience to use the staff configuration?
Not to enjoy it, but expect a learning curve. A coupled staff is more than twice the length of a single saber and it takes a while before the second blade stops surprising you. Start uncoupled, then couple it once the transitions feel natural.
Why is the design simpler than the original?
Deliberately. The intricate greeblies and exposed parts on the source prop look striking on a shelf and fight you in motion. Stripping them back leaves clean surfaces, no snag points and the ribbed anti-slip grip — which is what makes fast spins and two-handed strikes possible.
