The elimination of the control box gives the hilt a slimmer, more symmetrical profile, removing snags and improving rotational control — perfect for spins, flourishes, and fast counterstrikes.

Choosing Your Configuration

S-RGB — One high-output LED seated in the hilt, lighting a diffused blade. Bright, brutally durable, and the choice for anyone who intends to duel hard and often. Smooth swing is included. This is the configuration that shrugs off punishment, and the natural match for a hilt built around a defensive, contact-heavy style.

SNV4 Pixel — An LED strip running the full length of the blade. Ignition and retraction travel up and down the blade, and flash-on-clash fires at the exact point of impact. No configuration is required on your part, and it is where most collectors land.

Proffie Pixel — The same pixel blade, driven by a fully programmable board. Custom sound fonts, custom blade styles, gesture controls, and configuration files you can edit yourself. Choose Proffie to tinker; choose SNV4 to have it perfect out of the box.

Blade length — 32” is the standard adult dueling length and the safe default. 26” suits shorter wielders, tight choreography and indoor sparring. 36” is reach and display presence.

Blade diameter — The Negotiator SE takes a 1” blade. A 1” blade is thicker-walled and brighter; a 7/8 inch blade is lighter and faster. The two are not interchangeable between hilts, so order to match the blades you already own.

What matters most on this particular hilt is the missing control box. Removing it is the entire reason the SE exists: the profile is slimmer and more symmetrical, so the saber rolls freely in the palm and there is nothing to catch during a reverse grip or a fast transition. Combined with a weight of roughly 0.9 to 1 lb, it makes this one of the easiest sabers in the range to hold for an hour at a time. Pair it with a 32” blade for a balanced, defensive duelling setup, or 26” if your practice runs to tight, fast choreography.

Common Questions

Is this saber suitable for real dueling?

Yes. The hilt is machined aluminium alloy with a reinforced internal structure, and the blade is combat-grade polycarbonate rated for full contact. For heavy, frequent use the S-RGB configuration is the most resilient; the pixel boards duel well too, but they carry more electronics inside the blade.

Why has the control box been removed?

Because it is the single biggest obstacle to clean handling. Without it the hilt is slimmer and close to symmetrical, which removes snag points and improves rotational control. It is the defining change between the SE and the standard hilt.

Does that make it less accurate to the original design?

The silhouette, proportions and grip character are all faithful to the source design. The SE is deliberately a duelist’s interpretation rather than a display replica — if a screen-exact control box matters more to you than handling, this is not the version to buy.

Is it comfortable for long practice sessions?

That is what it was built for. At roughly 0.9 to 1 lb, light and balanced, with premium grip accents and no protrusions, it is one of the least fatiguing hilts in the range over an extended session.
