At its core lies a living exposed crystal chamber, where a feral crystal heart pulses with unstable energy, revealed through an open, fractured housing that feels more organic than mechanical. Design Inspiration

Drawing directly from the shadow-born weapon of the source material, The Strange embraces the unsettling aesthetic of a saber crafted without rules. Its surface is intentionally imperfect, its structure asymmetrical, and its internal mechanisms partially exposed — symbolizing an adept who operates outside every known order. The Strange is the physical expression of an idea the Order feared:

Choosing Your Configuration

Three boards. Three blade lengths. One blade diameter. Here is what actually changes when you pick.

S-RGB — One high-output LED seated in the hilt, lighting a diffused blade. Bright, brutally durable, and the choice for anyone who intends to duel hard and often. Smooth swing is included. This is the configuration that shrugs off punishment, and on a hilt built to look battered it ages honestly.

SNV4 Pixel — An LED strip running the full length of the blade. Ignition and retraction travel up and down the blade, and flash-on-clash fires at the exact point of impact. No setup is needed on your part, and it is where most collectors land.

Proffie Pixel — The same pixel blade, driven by a fully programmable board. Custom sound fonts, custom blade styles, gesture controls, and configuration files you can rewrite yourself. Choose Proffie if you want to tinker with the unstable blade profiles and chamber lighting until they behave exactly as you imagine them. Choose SNV4 if you want it perfect out of the box.

Blade length — 32” is the standard adult dueling length and the safe default. 26” suits shorter wielders, tight choreography and indoor sparring. 36” is reach and presence, and it is the one that looks biggest on a stand.

Blade diameter — The Strange takes a 1” blade. That is a thicker wall and a brighter throw than a 7/8 inch blade, and the two are not interchangeable between hilts, so order to match what you already own.

One more thing worth knowing before you choose. The open-face crystal chamber is the whole point of this hilt, and it reads most dramatically on the pixel boards, where the chamber lighting can be synchronised to the blade. On S-RGB it still glows — it simply glows steadily rather than reacting. At roughly 12 to 12.5 inches this is one of the longer hilts we build, which makes it commanding in a two-handed grip and slightly less nimble in fast one-handed spins.

Common Questions

Is this saber suitable for real dueling?

Yes. The hilt is machined metal alloy and the blade is combat-grade polycarbonate rated for full contact. For heavy, frequent use the S-RGB configuration is the most resilient; the pixel boards are duel-ready too, but they carry more electronics inside the blade.

Is the exposed crystal chamber fragile?

No. It is an open-face reveal machined into a custom internal frame, not a loose add-on — the chassis is built with partial external exposure by design. It is the defining feature of the hilt, and it is engineered as structure rather than decoration.

Does every hilt look the same?

The asymmetry, the fractured detailing and the raw exposed edges are all intentional parts of the design, so the shape is consistent from unit to unit. The weathered metal finish is what gives each one its own character.

Will my existing blades fit?

Only if they are 1” blades. The Strange is built around a 1” combat-ready polycarbonate blade, and 7/8 inch blades will not interchange with this hilt.

How long does it take to arrive?
