Gone are the ceremonial flourishes — replaced with clean lines, precision machining, and a grip optimized for agility, defense, and absolute control. The result is a saber built not for display, but for the ones who stand between chaos and peace.

Design Inspiration

Inspired by the golden-hilted weapons carried by the masked sentinels of the Order's temple, the Guard SE focuses on practicality over ornamentation.
The temple sentinels were chosen for a sacred purpose — to protect knowledge, legacy, and the next generation of knights. Their sabers reflected that mission: elegant, restrained, and made to endure.

The SE (Simplified Edition) preserves that timeless silhouette but enhances the ergonomics, making it lighter, smoother, and far easier to wield in fast-paced dueling. This is the sentinel design the Order would have issued to their frontline guardians.

Choosing Your Configuration

Three boards. Three blade lengths. One fixed blade diameter. Here is what actually changes when you pick.

This hilt takes a 1” blade, not the 7/8” used across much of our range. A 1” blade has a thicker wall and a noticeably brighter throw, which suits a saber meant to be seen holding a line. If you already own SaberWorks blades, they will not interchange with this model — worth checking before you order.

S-RGB — One high-output LED seated in the hilt, lighting a diffused blade. Bright, brutally durable, and the choice for anyone who intends to duel hard and often. Smooth swing included. A guardian's saber exists to absorb contact, and this is the configuration that absorbs the most of it.

SNV4 Pixel — An LED strip running the full length of the blade. Ignition and retraction travel up and down the blade the way they do on screen, and flash-on-clash fires at the exact point of impact. This is where most collectors land, and it needs no setup at all.

Proffie Pixel — The same pixel blade, driven by a fully programmable board. Custom sound fonts, custom blade styles, gesture controls, and configuration files you can rewrite yourself. It is also the route to the optional dual-phase modes. Choose Proffie if you want to tinker. Choose SNV4 if you want it perfect out of the box.

Blade length — 32" is the standard adult dueling length and the safe default. 26" suits shorter wielders, tight choreography and indoor sparring. 36" is reach and presence, and it is the one that looks biggest on a stand.

The Guard SE is built around a two-handed hold. At roughly 11.75 inches with a streamlined grip, a low-profile switch housing and nothing protruding to catch your palms, it slides and rotates cleanly through guards and transitions. That is the entire argument for the SE: the ceremonial original was made to be looked at, and this one was made to be used. Pair it with a 32" or 36" blade and it holds a line better than anything else we build.

Common Questions

Is the Guard SE double-bladed?

No. The design it references is a double-grip pike — a long hilt built to be held in two hands — and the Guard SE ships as a single-bladed saber with one blade in the box. There is no coupler and no second emitter. If you want a blade at each end, the TSK-A07 DB and the Menace are the models to look at.

Is the Guard SE suitable for real dueling?

Yes — it is arguably the model in our range most explicitly built for it. The hilt is machined aluminum and the blade is combat-grade polycarbonate rated for full-contact use. For heavy, frequent dueling the S-RGB configuration is the most resilient; pixel blades are also duel-ready but carry more electronics inside the blade.

What does the “SE” actually change?

SE stands for Simplified Edition. The ceremonial flourishes of the original are stripped back to clean lines and a reworked grip, which makes the hilt lighter, smoother and considerably easier to handle at speed. The silhouette is preserved; the bulk is not.

Why a 1” blade instead of 7/8”?

A 1” blade has a thicker wall and throws more light, so it reads brighter and stands up well to repeated contact. The trade-off is a little extra weight out at the tip. The two diameters are not interchangeable between hilts, so order blades to match this one.

What is a resonance-enhanced pommel?

The pommel is machined to let the hilt body act as part of the sound chamber rather than muffling it, which gives you a fuller, deeper tone from the same soundboard. It is most noticeable on ignition and on low, sustained hum.

How long does it take to arrive?
