This saber takes inspiration from the tale of a lone warrior who turned away from the Order and walked among the ashes of the regime and rebellion alike. Its clean metallic finish mirrors his code: no master, no attachments, only the way of the blade.

Choosing Your Configuration

Three boards. Three blade lengths. And one decision no other hilt in the range asks of you. Here is what actually changes when you pick.

Blade style. This saber is offered with either the standard 7/8” combat-ready polycarbonate blade or the Ronin Sword Blade, shaped for a more realistic sword profile. The polycarbonate blade is the one to choose if this saber is going to be fought with; the sword blade is the one to choose if the silhouette matters more to you than the sparring.

S-RGB (baselit). One high-output LED seated in the hilt, lighting a diffused blade. Bright, brutally durable, and the choice for anyone who intends to duel hard and often. Smooth swing is included. This is the configuration that shrugs off punishment.

SNV4 Pixel. An LED strip running the full length of the blade. Ignition and retraction travel up and down the blade, and flash-on-clash fires at the exact point of impact. Nothing to configure and nothing to set up — this is where most collectors land.

Proffie Pixel. The same pixel blade, driven by a fully programmable board. Custom sound fonts, custom blade styles, gesture controls, and configuration files you can rewrite yourself. Choose Proffie if you want to tinker. Choose SNV4 if you want it perfect out of the box.

Blade length. 32” is the standard adult dueling length and the safe default. 26” suits shorter wielders, tight choreography and indoor sparring. 36” is reach and display presence.

Blade diameter. The polycarbonate blade here is 7/8” — lighter and faster in the hand than a 1” blade, and not interchangeable with one. If you already own blades, order to match.

A word on handling. At approximately 11 inches and a pound, this hilt is balanced rather than heavy, and the polished, unbroken profile is closer to a sword grip than to a ridged combat hilt. It suits sweeping, deliberate, two-handed bladework — the kind the design was drawn from — and it rewards control over speed.

What is the Ronin Sword Blade, and how is it different?

It is an alternative blade offered with this hilt, shaped for a more realistic sword look rather than the familiar round profile. Choose it if the silhouette on a stand is what matters most to you; choose the 7/8” combat-ready polycarbonate blade if you intend to spar with it.

Does this saber take a 1 inch or a 7/8 inch blade?

7/8 inch. A 7/8” blade is lighter and faster in the hand than a 1” blade, and the two are not interchangeable between hilts, so order to match anything you already own.

Can I change the blade color?

Yes, on every configuration. Proffie, SNV4 and S-RGB all offer full-color customization, so the blade is yours to set.

Is this saber suitable for real dueling?

Yes, with the combat-ready polycarbonate blade fitted. The hilt is precision-machined aluminum with a durable, removable internal construction, and that blade is rated for full contact. For heavy, frequent dueling the S-RGB configuration is the most resilient; the pixel boards are duel-ready too, but carry more electronics inside the blade.
